ATOC Day 11: Goenka Wins 2 Cr ATOC Main Event Finale; Arora & Chawla Among Other Big Winners

The 8 Crore GTD Adda52 Tournament of Champions (ATOC) reached a crescendo on its Day 11 that had as many as 9 tournaments on the schedule, including three trophy events. While hundreds of elite grinders took to the felts to win big, the star of the day was Piyush Goenka aka “pokerpassion” who took down the biggest-guaranteed tournament of the day – 2 Crore GTD ATOC Main Event Finale. Goenka overcame the 1,722-entry field, winning a whopping 36 Lac along with the ATOC Trophy and Panerai Black Seal Watch. Online reg, Ankit “starnaruto” Saurabh, finished runner-up in the tourney and walked away with a massive INR 25 Lac, the second biggest score on ATOC Day 11.

Kshitij “kmk1127” Kucheria  (4th for INR 11,85,000), Raman “thuscame” Gujral(5th for INR 8,78,000), Ratul “riverking021” Steves (6th for INR 6,47,500), Gautam “aa_kk” Sachdeva (7th for INR 4,73,280) & Surbhit “grovahova” Grover (8th for INR 3,54,000) were the other notable names on the final table.

35 Lac GTD ATOC 6 Max Championship

The second biggest of the three trophy events on Day 11 of the ATOC was the 35 Lac GTD ATOC 6 Max Championship that fared pretty well, pulling in 550 entries and generating a guarantee-crushing prize pool worth INR 38.50 Lac. Walking away with the lion’s share of the prize pool was online MTT reg Nitin “bigbluffs” Arora who banked 8,06,704, his career-best online score. Arora has been doing well at the ATOC series and had finished fourth for 4.68 Lac in the ATOC Highroller on Friday.

Online MTT reg Himanshu “pirateking7” Arora placed runner-up for INR 6,56,296, while Anmol “Anzzzzz” Mehta (3rd for INR 3,65,750), Anmol “anmol39” Agarwal  (4th for INR 2,88,750), Vikranth “borntrouble” Varma(5th for INR 1,92,500), & Amit “ragingbull” Kaushik (6th for INR 1,34,750) were the other notables names on the FT.  Siddarth Singhvi bubbled the FT in seventh-place for 96,250

15 Lac GTD ATOC Fast N Furious Special

The third trophy of the day was awarded in the 15 Lac GTD ATOC Fast N Furious Special. The INR  2500 buy-in tourney did reasonably well, drawing in a large field of 700 entries and generating a prize pool worth INR 15.75 Lac. After several hours of intense play, Pranay “setmeup” Chawla outlasted the competition to win the ATOC Trophy and INR 3,93,750, his best finish this year.

Karan “Reg_Slayer” Radia finished runner-up for INR 2,28,375, while Sagar “saggyB87” Suri (4th for INR 1,10,250), Sanchit Karan “Reg_Slayer” Radia Pande (5th for INR 78,750) & Anuj Laddhad (6th for INR 55,125) were the other notables who ended their run on the final table of the marquee tourney.

8  Lac GTD ATOC Orpheus

The other major tourney taking place on Day 11 of the ATOC series, the 8 Lac GTD too fared pretty well, pulling in 391 entries to generate a prize pool of INR 8.80 Lac. Coming out on top of the field was a mystery player in “pokraj” who walked away with INR 2,18,178 for his win in the INR 2500 buy-in tourney. Debneil “noobneil” Mukherjee placed runner-up and banked INR 92,374.
