WPTOI 2021 Day 25: Rishab Malik & Ankit Wadhawan Champion Trophy Events; Ashish Auja Leads WPT Main Event Day 1D Survivors

The 25 Crore GTD WPT Online India is on the final stretch and played host to another 10 events on its Day 25 yesterday, of which 8 crowned champions. The single largest score of the day belonged to Rishab Malik who championed the day’s headliner, the 20 Lac GTD WPT Wednesday Rush, to win INR 5.03 Lac and his first WPT Trophy. Also stealing the spotlight on Day 25 of the series was Ankit Wadhawan who took down the 17 Lac GTD WPT Deepstack, winning INR 4.43 Lac and an impressive third WPT Trophy at the series. He eventually outlasted Ashish Ahuja (2nd for INR 2.64 Lac) in the heads-up for the title. Both Ahuja (#2) and Wadhawan (#3) are among the current top three players on the WPT Mega Leaderboard and have inched closer to Raghav Siddalanga (#1) after their last night’s deep run. Also joining the list of winners on Day 25 of the WPTOI was Myron Pereira who shipped the 6 Lac GTD WPT Moonlight to win INR 1.5 Lac. Let us check out the highlights of the day. 

20 Lac GTD WPT Wednesday Rush

The action on Day 25 of the WPT Online India was headlined by two trophy events. The most prominent of the two, the 20 Lac GTD WPT Wednesday Rush sporting an entry buy-in of INR 2750, logged in an impressive 805 entries to crush its specified guarantee and create a prize pool worth INR 20.12 Lac.The former Adda52 Millions champion Rishab “rish1994” Malik topped the field to win it for INR 5.03 Lac (the single largest score of the day) and his first WPT Trophy at the series.

Ranjeet “rj147” Negi (2nd for INR 2,70,681), Aditya “Adit11” Kulkarni (3rd for INR 1,85,150), Shrey “kingsb30” Baj (4th for INR 1,32,825), & Aman “karmapoker” Parakh (5th for INR 89,556) were the other prominent players finishing on the final-tabled the 8 PM WPT Wednesday Rush tourney.

17 Lac GTD WPT Deepstack

The second trophy of the day was awarded in the 17 Lac GTD WPT Deepstack. The INR 7500 entry buy-in event fared well, pulling in 250 entries to create a prize pool worth INR 17.05 Lac prize pool.

One of the front runners on the WPT Mega Leaderboard, Ankit Wadhawan aka ‘d00mtr00p3r’ was the last player standing and won INR 4.43 Lac and his third WPT Trophy at the series. Currently ranked #2 on the Mega Leaderboard, Asish “rocky3705” Ahuja placed runner-up for INR 2.64 Lac.

Also on the WPT Deepstack Final Table were Atishay “pokergod56” Samuel (6th for INR 72,463), Harshad “Laiibhari” Barve (7th for INR 55,413), & Rajat “Happyfish” Mahajan (8th for INR 42,625).

6 Lac GTD WPT Moonlight

Myron ‘zzzzz369’ Pereira topped a field of 342 entries to win the 6 Lac GTD WPT Moonlight for INR 1.50 Lac. The former Full House champion Devrat ‘Vickypune’ Singh placed runner-up for INR 90,900.

Also on the FT were Himanshu ‘baagdi’ Bagdwal (5th for INR 34,500), Deepak ‘Peacelover’ Singh (6th for INR 22,500), & WPT Late Night winner Vijendra ‘sadhu16’ Kumar Sharma (7th for INR 18,000).

3 Crore GTD WPT Main Event Day 1D

Running alongside the WPT Wednesday Rush was Day 1D of the 3 Crore GTD WPT Main Event. The fourth of the ten starting flights drew 146 hopefuls, and only 17 made the cut for Day 2. The WPT Deepstack runner-up finisher Ashish ‘rocky3705’ Ahuja (281,951) bagged the end-of-day chip lead, while Anmol ‘anmol39’ Agarwal (244,877) and ‘Rider529’ (186,846) rounded out the top three stacks.

The INR 16500 buy-in event has registered 534 entries across four starting flights, with six more flights left to play out before Day 2, which is slated to take  off at 10 PM on 29th August (Sunday).

1 Crore GTD WPT Unreal Flight 26

Flight 26 of the 1 Crore GTD WPT Unreal pulled in 1,423 hopefuls, and 197 of them advanced to Day 2. ‘Kidrock85’ (1,125,299), ‘nitishhdh’ (244,877), and ‘Valle’ (186,846) topped the day-end chip counts.

The INR 499 entry buy-in event has registered 14,254 entries across 26 flights, with 6 more flights to go.

Dinny9’ (Won 4 Lac GTD WPT Classic for INR 81,996), ‘Deadman2601’ (Won 4 Lac GTD WPT Hustle for INR 82,771),Vijendra ‘Sadhu16’ Kumar Sharma (Won 3.5 Lac GTD WPT Late Night for inr 73,308), Juli ‘Lily8’ Kumari (Won 2.75 Lac GTD WPT Alpha for INR 72,813), and Ankita ‘ankumalik’ Ajay Malik (Won 2 Lac GTD WPT Daily Warmup for INR 44,818) won the other WPTOI titles on Wednesday.

WPT Online India Mega Leaderboard After Day 26
