There were a total of 9 events on tap on Day 20 of the WPT Online India (WPTOI) on Adda52.com, with seven of them crowning champions. Last month’s Deepstack Madness champion Vishal Bajaj walked away with the single largest score of the day and the prestigious WPT Trophy as he shipped the day’s biggest tourney (80 Lac GTD WPT India High Roller) for a personal best INR 21.60 Lac. Finishing right behind him was the veteran pro-Sumit Sapra who placed runner-up for INR 13.60 Lac, the second-largest score of the day. Nishaanth Shanmughasundaram (Won 5 Lac GTD WPT PLO Bounty for INR 2.11 Lac) and Anish Arora (Won 4 Lac GTD WPT Classic for INR 1.02 Lac) were the other prominent WPT Online title winners. 80 Lac GTD WPT India High Roller
Headlining the WPTOI Day 20 schedule on Friday was the only WPT trophy event, the WPT India High Roller. The INR 55,000 buy-in event attracted a total of 137 entrants by the time late registration closed. Last month’s Deepstack Madness champion Vishal ‘GigaaBet’ Bajaj outlasted the star-studded field to win a career-best INR 21.60 Lac and his first WPT Trophy. The veteran pro – Sumit ‘hammer_head’ Sapra finished runner-up for INR 13.60 Lac, his best score on Adda52.com.
Adda52 user ‘amar21679’ (3rd for INR 10 Lac), Akash ‘profishnal’ Malik (4th for INR 7.60 Lac), WPT India Mini High Roller champion Neel ‘neeljoshi23’ Joshi (5th for INR 5.60 Lac), and WPT Tuesday Feature champion Laksh ‘boomtilt23’ Pal Singh (6th for INR 4 Lac) also final-tabled the mega tourney.
5 Lac GTD WPT PLO Bounty
The other major tourney on the WPTOI Day 20 schedule was the 5 Lac GTD WPT PLO Bounty that logged in 213 entries to comfortably surpass its guarantee and create a prize pool worth INR 5.75 Lac. Nishaanth ‘superdeluxe’ Shanmughasundaram came out on top of the field to win it for INR 2.11 Lac (includes INR 51,615 in bounties). Adda52 user ‘arg_87’ placed runner-up for INR 98,610 (includes INR 5,156 in bounties). The final spot on the podium went to the former Full House champion Chirag “cs56” Sodha who walked away with INR 71,025 for his third-place finish in the tourney.
1 Crore GTD WPT Unreal Flight 20
Running alongside the Friday marquees was Flight 20 of the 1 Crore GTD WPT Unreal. The 20th flight logged in 332 hopefuls, and 29 of them advanced Day 2. The mystery user ‘RT9000’ (410,623), ‘Topdonker’ (400,864), & Raghav ‘FuckedUpLife’ Siddalinga (391,604) topped the day-end chip counts.
The INR 499 buy-in event has logged in 10,265 entries across 20 flights, with 10 more flights to go.
1 Crore GTD WPT Quad 9 Day 1E
Also running on Day 20 of the WPTOI was Day 1E of the 1 Crore GTD WPT Quad 9. The INR 9,999 buy-in event clocked in 125 entries on its Day 1E, and only 14 made the cut for Day 2. The WPT India High Roller champion Vishal ‘GigaaBet’ Bajaj (514,162) bagged the end of the day chip lead, with ‘Royalty’ (246,662), and Sreekanth ‘n0thing’ Narayan (157,981) rounding out the top three stacks.
Anish ‘PapaNegreanu’ Arora (Won 4 Lac GTD WPT Classic for INR 1.02 Lac), ‘bubba88’ (Won 4 Lac GTD WPT Multiplier for INR 1 Lac), ‘abhijay786nov’ (Won 3.5 Lac GTD WPT Late Night for INR 86,666), ‘ImAlpha’ (Won 2.75 Lac GTD WPT Alpha for INR 75,488), and Kritagya ‘kritagya_17’ Sharma (Won 2 Lac GTD WPT Daily Warm-up for INR 47,157) featured among other WPTOI title winners on Friday.
