WSOP 2021: Dylan Linde Wins His First Bracelet In Event #21: $1,500 Mixed Omaha Hi-Lo or Better ($170,269)

After over 85 cashes at the WSOP, Dylan Linde finally got the monkey off his back. He defeated Hernan Salazar heads-up to win Event #21: $1,500 Mixed Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better at the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) for a $170,269 cash prize and his career-first gold bracelet.

The popular three-game format drew an impressive 641 entries and generated a prize pool of $855,735. The top 96 places got paid with a min-cash worth $2,423. Six-time WSOP champion Daniel Negreanu made it to Day 3 but his run for the seventh bracelet ended in 18th place for $6,846.

Other notables to cash were Patrick Tardif (16th for $6,846), Kosei Ichinose (19th for $6,846), Ari Engel (23rd for $5,627), Ryan Laplante (27th for $5,627), Derek McMaster (40th for $4,079), Max Pescatori (46th for $3,601), Brian Hastings (51st for $3,260), Robert Mizrachi (59th for $3,028), John Monnette (61st for $3,028), Jeremy Harkin (66th for $2,839), and John Racener (83rd for $2,423).

The final table was set after Robert Redman was eliminated in ninth place by a set of queens from David Matsumoto. Michael Lim was the first player to be eliminated from the final table and he was busted by Ryan Roeder. Eliminations from that point were quick. Lance Sobelman (seventh place), Ryan Roeder (sixth place), Damjan Radanov (fifth place), and David Matsumoto (fourth place) all fell within less than two hours. Finally, it came down to heads-up with Scott Abrams’ elimination.

Linde began the heads-up for the title with over a 9.20 Million stack against Hernan Salazar`s 6.70 Million. He was able to extend his lead further and finally clinch the title. On the final hand, Linde opened with Ad Ks Qd 7s 3s, and Salazar made the call with 10s 9d 6d 4c 2s. The flop came Qs Js 8h. Salazar bet, Linde re-raised and Salazar moved all-in, which Linde called. The turn 5c and the river 4s completed the board. Linde won the title for a $170,269 prize and his career-first WSOP bracelet.
