Shravan Chhabria Wins Epic Mini Main Event

Poker veteran Shravan Chhabria has secured a memorable victory at the Epic Mini Main Event, outlasting a field of over 5,000 entries to win the top prize of ₹27,89,266 along with the coveted Epic trophy.

Entering the final table as the chip leader, Chhabria capitalized on his stack and experience, dictating the pace from the outset. Along the way, he notched multiple eliminations, sending Gaurav Kumar, Ashit Sharma, Inzemaam Husain, and Tanay Hegde to the rail en route to heads-up play against Saahib Bawa.

Despite a spirited performance from Bawa, Chhabria maintained control, never relinquishing his lead and ultimately sealing the win with a dominant final hand.

Final Hand – Kings Hold for the Win

Round 7 | Blinds: 4k/8k | BB Ante: 8k

Short-stacked, Saahib Bawa moved all-in for 144,000 from the big blind holding A♦ 2♦. Shravan Chhabria, in the small blind, snap-called with K♥ K♠.

Board: 10♠ 3♦ K♦ 7♠ 6♥

Chhabria flopped top set, leaving no room for a comeback and locking in his championship title.

Runner-Up: Saahib Bawa – ₹19,19,565

A valiant effort from Bawa, who navigated a massive field and battled fiercely in heads-up play to earn a well-deserved second-place finish.

Heads-Up Showdown Begins

Following the elimination of Tanay Hegde in third, the final battle commenced. Shravan held a commanding chip lead of 606,000, while Bawa entered with 172,000 — a gap he couldn’t close.

3rd Place – Tanay Hegde (₹13,52,468)

Desperate for a double-up, Hegde moved all-in for 50k with A♥ 7♥. Chhabria made the call with 9♠ 9♦.

Board: Q♣ 5♣ 4♥ 2♣ 8♥

Shravan’s nines held, ending Hegde’s impressive run.

Inzemaam shoved from the button with A♦ Q♥ and was called by Shravan, holding K♣ Q♦.

5th Place – Ashit Sharma (₹6,85,129)

Round 5 | Blinds: 3k/6k | BB Ante: 6k

In a blind-vs-blind showdown, Shravan shoved with 5♦ 5♥, and Ashit called with A♠ 3♠.

Board: J♦ 5♣ 6♥ J♠ 9♣

Shravan flopped a set and filled up on the turn, eliminating Ashit in 5th.

6th Place – Gaurav Kumar (₹4,73,168)

Round 4 | Blinds: 2.5k/5k | BB Ante: 5k

Gaurav opened with 10♥ 10♠ and faced a 3-bet from Shravan, who held A♥ J♣.

Flop: J♥ 6♠ 4♠
Turn: K♣
River: 9♠

Shravan’s top pair held as Gaurav’s tens failed to improve.

7th Place – Ruddraksh Khatri (₹3,10,136)

Round 3 | Blinds: 2k/4k | BB Ante: 5k

After a UTG raise from Tanay Hegde with A♦ Q♦, Ruddraksh shoved with 3♣ 10♣ and was called.

Board: 5♦ 10♥ Q♠ K♦ 7♥

Though Ruddraksh flopped a ten, Tanay’s paired queen held up.

8th Place – Shyam Sundar (₹2,29,068)

Round 2 | Blinds: 1.5k/3.5k | BB Ante: 3.5k

Facing a river shove from Tanay Hegde, Shyam made the call with a queen-high flush. Unfortunately for him, Hegde revealed a higher flush with K♣ J♣, ending Shyam’s run as the first elimination at the final table.
