2013 WSOP Update: More Bracelets for USA

WSOP 2013Poker Players from the USA upped their total tally of 2013 WSOP Bracelets as Corey Harrison and Danny Fuhs won Event 24 and 25 respectively at the Rio here today. In Event 24, $1500 NL Hold’em the final table saw very slow action as more than 200 hands were dealt before the 36 year old professor from Alabama, Harrison won the bracelet and $432,411. On the other end, Event 25, $5K Omaha Hi/Low had a star studded final table where four former WSOP Bracelet winners sat. But it was Danny Fuhs who triumphed winning $277,519. 

In event 24, action reached the final table fairly quickly but then on poker action was very slow. Harrison defeated Daniel Cascado of United Kingdom in heads up action. A total of 1731 players had registered for this event that lasted 3 days didn’t feature any bracelet winners on the final table. Salvatore DiCarlo finished in third place and $184,914.

In Event 25, the final table featured former bracelet winners in Jeff LisandroViacheslav Zhukov, Brian Hastings and Robert Mizrachi. But Danny Fuhs overcame all the experience to win his first WSOP title and defeated Christopher George  who got $171,536. Mizrachi finished in third place for $128,074. 

Other Events underway include Event 26, $1000 Seniors No Limit Hold’em Championship where the final 34 poker players are led by James Miller. Event 27 $1500 NL Hold’em(MIX MAX) is also seeing the final 32 players with Brandon Cantu in the chip lead. Mike Watson is in second place trying to win a seventh WSOP bracelet for Canada.
