Riding high on the success of the last Platinum series, the Asia Championship of Poker(ACOP) Platinum Series IV is set to begin at the PokerStars LIVE at the City of Dreams Poker Room in Macau from April 17th. The 4 day schedule features a HK$5,500 Main Event which has a guarantee of HK$ 500,000.
The ACOP Platinum Series IV Schedule has 4 events with 3 NLHE and 1 PLO event. The opening event is a PLO Event while the remaining 3 days NLHE action will dominate. The Main Event of this ACOP Series is known for attracting major players from the Asia -pacific poker scene considering its low buy-ins. Another feature of the ACOP is that the top 10 finishers in the ME qualify for the ACOP Platinum Series Playoff on October 5, 2014 where they can win a HK $100,000 Main Event entry to the 2014 Asia Championship of Poker.
The last edition of the ACOP Platinum Series in February attracted 301 runners in the Main Event creating a huge prize pool of $1.3 Million. In all, 770 players turned up for the event that took place in March giving off HK $2,077,606 in prize money.
