We are jut three days away to mark the end of Adda52’s biggest online poker fiesta – Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS) that will be concluding on 16th February with the much-awaited 1.5 Crore GTD AOPS Main Event Finale kicking off at 10 PM. Over 28 tournaments of the ongoing 5.2 Crore GTD tournament series have been completed so far, and almost each tournament has turned out to be huge success with a surge of players. It was Day 7 of the AOPS yesterday and action picked up steam with a line-up of 6 exciting tournaments on the schedule. Close to 1800 runners enrolled for the day and more than INR 77 Lac was given away in prizepool. The biggest winner to emerge was Ujjjwal Narwal aka ‘fourteenk’ who pocketed an impressive INR 7.63 Lac for winning the AOPS Godfather.
25 Lac GTD AOPS Freeze Finale
The first biggest-guarantee tournament on yesterday’s AOPS schedule was the 25 Lac GTD AOPS Freeze sporting INR 5500 buy-in. This was a multi-flight event that drew a total of 398 players. Coming out on top of the field was an online regular in Sanket Arora aka ‘blackcod’ who eventually defeated ‘madhabpal2015’ in heads-up to claim the coveted AOPS title for INR 4 Lac in top prize.
Arora outlasted a tough final table that had the likes of Saksham Sharma (3rd for INR 1.70 Lac), Vaibhav Sharma (4th for INR 1.20 Lac), Arjanveer Singh Chadha (5th for INR 80,000), Siddarth Singhvi (6th for INR 60,000), Chirag Sodha (7th for INR 50,000) and Kamal Naruka (8th for INR 42,000).
Top 104 got paid out in the tournament and among them who finished deep were Kavish Kukreja (13th), Anish Juwarkar (15th),Myron Pereira (17th),Dhawal Makani (18th),Devang Yadav (21st),Rajat Sharma (23rd),Som Asopa (27th), Sahil Agarwal (28th) and Neel Joshi who hit the rail 31st place.
25 Lac GTD AOPS Godfather
A part of the ongoing AOPS was Adda52’s Thursday flagship Godfather that featured an increased 25 Lac GTD prizepool at the same buy-in of INR 5500. A total of 664 entries were registered, easily crushing the specified guarantee and taking the prizepool to a whopping INR 33.20 Lac, which was eventually shared by top 72 players with a min-cash of INR 11,620. In the end, the lion’s share went to Ujjwal Narwal aka ‘fourteenk’ who defeated Kaleem ‘fishwithnuts’ Pasha to earn INR 7.63 Lac.
Pranay Chawla (3rd for INR 2.98 Lac), Pranjal Gandhi (5th for INR 1.66 Lac), Monish Kumar (6th for INR 1.16 Lac) and Chirag Bhardwaj (8th for INR 66,400) were among some of the notable final table finishers. Others notables who ran deep included online regulars in Vaibhav Sharma (10th),Vishal Tulsyan (11th), Prasad Patil (14th),Mihir Thakkar (17th) and Siddarth Singhvi who exited in 25th place.
10 Lac GTD AOPS PLO High Roller
Another major tournament on AOPS Day 7 schedule last night was the 10 Lac GTD AOPS PLO High Roller, a special high roller event that featured INR 11K buy-in and pulled in a total of 135 entries to generate INR 13.5 Lac prizepool. It was the well-known player Deepak Bothra aka ‘bothras’ who took down the event for INR 2.82 Lac. Bothra was in his peak form yesterday as he first won a flagship event on Spartan Poker and then followed up that with a win in the AOPS PLO High Roller.
The final table had some big names like Kartik Ved ( 2nd for INR 2,66,522), Sanat Mehrotra (3rd for INR 12,8250), Mihir Thakkar (4th for INR 1,28,250), Akshay Nasa (5th for INR 94500). Top 15 were paid and some notables among them were Karan Radia (11th), Pranay Chawla (12th), Siddarth Singhvi (14th).
Other Winners Of AOPS Events
Day 7 began with the 2.5 Lac GTD AOPS Warm-up featuring INR 1250 buy-in. The tournament logged in 246 entries and outlasting them was an online regular in Prasad Patil aka ‘Goodmanji’, who defeated ‘swingtrader’ in the heads-up battle to pocket INR 55,022 in top prize.
The second event on AOPS Day 7 schedule was the 1.5 Lac GTD AOPS Win The Button with INR 880 buy-in. The event saw a total field of 174 entries. In the end, the winner to emerge was ‘jigmet8888’ who outlasted ‘jeet0’ in the heads-up to walk away with the top prize of INR 40,500. Another event to conclude yesterday was the 1.5 Lac GTD AOPS Siesta where ‘peushup’ who outlasted 161 entries to win INR 35,607. It was a back-to-back win for ‘peushup’ as he won the same event yesterday as well.
Today is going to be bigger with the first flight of the 1.5 Crore GTD AOPS Main Event – Day 1A and several other big events such as the 30 Lac GTD Holdem High Roller. Here is a look at today’s Schedule:
