Yesterday, Adda52 hosted its popular weekly tourney – Godfather 6.0, which currently guarantees INR 20 Lac prizepool for INR 5,500 buy-in and promises the winner a ticket to 7 Lac Aussie SNG. The event drew 440 entries to create INR 22 Lac prizepool and outlasting the field this time was none other than Arjanveer Singh Chadha aka ‘arjan30’. He beat Sajal Gupta aka ‘sa_jal’ in heads-up to take home INR 5,39,000 in top prize. Gupta settled for a cool INR 3,19,000 for his runner-up finish.
On his way to the grand victory in this popular online poker tournament, Arjanveer Singh Chadha beat a tough final table that featured the likes of the recent WPT India 2018 Main Event runner-up Sahil Mahboobani aka ‘ImHighIshove’(4th for INR 1,65,000), Kavish Kukreja aka ‘narcoss’ (5th for INR 1,10,000) and Adda52 Team Pro Tarun Goyal aka ‘aggtarun’ (6th for INR 77,000).
A total of 49 places were paid out with min-cashes starting from INR 12,100. The lion’s share went to the eventual winner Chadha, who won INR 5,39,000, plus an entry ticket to 7 Lac Aussie SNG for his victory. Holding a bachelor degree in business from Symbiosis, Chadha has been enjoying a crazy run on adda52.com. Early this year in April, the player won Godfather and Whale back-to-back. Keeping the momentum going, he then picked up another big score by winning PayCheck in May.
The Godfather sees a strong field and yesterday was no exception, with some top pros joining in the field, including the WSOP 2018 best Indian finisher Nishant Sharma aka ‘DoJingBULLETS’ (23rd place for INR 16,500), Mihir Thakkar aka ‘gameofdeath’ (26th place for INR 14,300) and the regular Rajat Sharma aka ‘Oshoswam’I, who exited the tournament in the 47th place for INR 12,100.
Final Hand
The last hand came with blinds running 25k-50k and ante 3500 where ‘sa_ja’l holding 10d 7d moved all-in and ‘arjan30’ having Ad Kc called. The board ran 4h Qh 8d 5c 8h where the latter won the pot as well as the event. It was the second Godfather win for ‘arjan30’ who has won 2 Whale tourneys this year.
