ATOC Day 8: Kothari Denies Kakarania ATOC Thursday Feature Title; Gujral Leads Main Event Day 1D Survivors

Day 8 of the 8 Crore GTD Adda52 Tournament of Champions (ATOC) was a big day for poker, with some of the biggest names coming out in an attempt to win big. A total of 8 winners were crowned and stealing the spotlight was none other than the online MTT reg in Priyank “Piko1432” Kothari. The MTT crusher took down the day’s trophy event ‘30 Lac GTD ATOC Thursday Feature’ to win the ATOC Trophy and the single biggest score of the day worth INR 6.29 Lac. This is by far the 11th tourney title of the year for Kothari and he has now more than INR 2.8 Crores in online earnings.

Kothari struck a HU deal with Umang “umang94” Kakarania (runner-up for INR 5,10,921). Other notables on the FT included Sanchit “TheRedWaste” Pande  (3rd for 2,85,000), Avijit “avijitjazz93” Jaiswal (4th for INR 2,25,000), Abhijeet “2abhisingh” Kumar (6th place for INR 1,05,000), Anurag “NormanBates” Srivastava (7th for INR 75,000) & Chirag “cs56” Sodha (8th for INR 60,000).

2 Crore GTD ATOC Main Event Day 1D

The biggest attraction of the ATOC series is its 2 Crore GTD Main Event. The fourth starting flight of the event, Day 1D, fared much better than the previous flights as it registered a total of 208 entries, a significant improvement over the 149 entries on Day 1C, 192 entries on 1B and 74 entries on 1A.

After the stipulated 29 levels of play, only 27 survived through to Day 2. Leading them was the veteran pro Raman “thuscame” Gujral (337,103), with Kavish “Narcos” Kukreja (284,260), Ratul “riverking021” Steves (213,021), Guruprasad “guruprasad_gupta” Gupta (197,549), & the ATOC Wednesday Feature runner-up Gagandeep “gaganhyd” Malik (174,362) rounding out top 5 stacks.

Among other prominent players who won ATOC titles on Day 8 of the series, Aditya “adit11” Kulkarni outlasted a field of 265 entries in the 3 Lac GTD ATOC Icarus to win the title for INR 78,339. He finally defeated Abhishek “abhi_1234” Jaiswal who walked away with INR 46,702 for his runner-up finish in the tourney. The ATOC Thursday Feature 6th place finisher, Abhijeet “2abhisingh” Kumar came out on top of a 283-entry field in the 2 Lac GTD ATOC Titus PKO to win INR 52,730.
