Hosted onboard Casino Pride, Baadshah Gaming Live series ended with Aditya Sushant winning its Main Event title. The series saw lower than expected turnouts but nonetheless got the positive feedback from the players who admired the structures and the overall tournament experience.
The 30K Main Event of the series drew 66 runners and outlasting them all was Aditya Sushant who entered final day action as the chip lead and kept his momentum through most of his final table.
Sushant beat Anup Palod in the heads-up to win the title and pocket INR 7.65 lacs after a deal with Palod who took home INR 6.75 lacs for his remarkable runner-up finish in the tournament.
After his win, Sushant said, “The strategy was simple, make minimal mistakes and don’t spew. I caught up just a couple of hours of sleep and was wondering how it will play down today. I wanted to give it my best.”
“Feels very good, this is my first trophy at Casino Pride and it feels good to play here after so long. Maddy’s Main Event was superb and I really enjoyed the heads-up battle with Palod.” Sushant added.
The poker stable operator Palod (runner-up) said, “When the play was down to 15 players, me and Sushi (Aditya Sushant) were speaking about how this would be our first final table together, in my mind, I knew it was going to be heads-up between both of us and that’s exactly what happened.”
Heads-Up Battle
The WSOP bracelet winner Sushant from Chennai and Palod from Mumbai entered the final table as the leading stacks. Fortunately, both of them reached the heads-up which did not last long. The dual started with Sushant having the substantial chip lead over his heads-up mate Palod. Very soon the duo struck a deal where Sushant agreed for INR 7,65,000 payday and Anup Palod settled for INR 6,75,000 in prizemoney. Heads-up began and ended in no time with Sushant winning the title.
On the final hand of the tournament, Sushant opened and Anup called and checked the flop reading 5h-7d-Ac. On the flop, Sushant fired a bet and Anup 3-bet, which Sushant called. The turn was Qs where Plod bet and Sushant called. The river 5s completed the board and Palod shoved with Kd-8c and Sushant called with Qh-7c. Sushant won with two pairs to add one more title to his name.
