Ben Tollerene Wins PokerStars Championship Panama Super High Roller; Indians Shine at PokerStars Festival Rozvadov

 

Defeating a field of 33 entries, Ben Tollerene has won the inaugural PokerStars Championship Panama $50,000 super high roller no-limit hold’em event to win the title and first-place prize of $538,715. With this win, the US pro’s  all-time tournament cashes have reached up to $2,673,495, with $422,114 made this year alone.

The high stake poker pro Ben Tollerene, who is well-known as “Bttech86” online, began final table as the chip lead with 2.9 mi1lion of around 8 million chips in play. The final table lasted barely four hours and thirty minutes and he emerged as the victor after defeating Daniel Dvoress in the heads-up play.

The victory for Tollerene was not an easy, as the final table included various high-stakes superstars including Steve O’Dwyer, Daniel Dvoress, Justin Bonomo and Timothy Adams. However, he played really smartly and eliminated O’Dwyer in 6th place. A few hands later, he knocked out Justin Bonomo in 3rd place to enter into the heads-up play with Daniel Dvoress.  Tollerene started heads-up as a chip lead over his opponent Dvoress. The heads-up play didn’t last long and after a few hands, Tollerene emerged as the winner. The final hand saw Dvoress move all-in with Ac- 9s and Tollerene call with Ks-5h. The board came Js-Jh 2h-2d-kh, giving Tollerence the title and trophy.

Indian Players Shine at PokerStars Festival Rozvadov

The Day 2 of PokerStars Festival Rozvadov Main Event kicked off with 507 survivors at King’s Casino. The event proved highly successful and managed to draw a huge four-digit field, generating a total prize pool of €1,098,310, more than doubling the guarantee of €500,000. Interestingly enough, more than 200 players cashed out and all of them walked out happily. There were five Indians who made it to Day 2 but among them, but only Vivek Rughani and Manish Goenka could finish among in the money players. While Rughani finished in 142nd place for €1,852, Manish Goenka min-cashed the event for €1,534.

€2,200 High Roller Event

The Day 1 of the €2,200 High Roller began with four tables, but entries jumped up very soon with big names joining in the game later on. As the tally indicated, 95 hopefuls entered the field. The final field along with re-entries jumped to 118-entries, taking the total prize pool to a whopping €228,920. At the end, just 30 hopefuls remained for Day 2. Among Indians, only Santosh Srinivas entered Day 2 with 72,500 chips.
