‘Devilsangel’ Wins His First Godfather To Earn INR 5 Lac & A Seat To 9 Lac Europe SNG!

Yesterday saw several tournaments taking place on Adda52 and the showstopper was the 20 Lac GTD Godfather. The flagship online event began at 8 PM and ran a full 8 hours course, attracting a field of 379 entries. In the end, it was a relatively less-known player ‘Devilsangel’ who emerged victorious after defeating Lokesh Barwal aka ‘cheetah929’ in heads-up play. The eventual winner took home an impressive INR 5 Lac, his best online score on Adda52.com. In addition to the top prize, he also earned an entry into a 9 Lac Europe SNG tournament to be played on 21^st July, 2019.

Barwal putt up a good fight in heads-up but could not go all the way, eventually settling for INR 3,03,000 for his runner-up finish. The tournament paid out to top 38 players with a min-cash of INR 12K. Some known regs to finish deep were Vinay B (7^th for INR 60,000), Sagar Patnaik (9^th for INR 40K), Adda52 Team Pro Tarun Goyal (15^th for INR 22,000), Chandan Arora (16^th for 19,000), Kavish Kukreja (18^th for 19000) and Devang Yadav whose run came to an end in 20^th place for INR 16,000.

‘Devilsangel’ has been playing on Adda52 for several years now. The player started with small buy-in tourneys but he has shifted his focus to big tournaments over the past few months. Although he has already won several smaller tournaments on the poker site, his Godfather 9.0 win last night was his biggest score till date and it must severe as a big boost to his confidence as well as bankroll.

It was the last Godfather in its 9^th series and this means all the 9 winners of the tournament will now be returning to battle it out for the 9 Lac Europe Package in the Godfather SNG on 21^st July, Sunday.
