Dylan Wilkerson Claims WSOP Circuit Bicycle Casino Main Event for $217,790

The California poker pro Dylan Wilkerson has won the WSOP Circuit Bicycle Casino Main Event for $216,790. This achievement came after his back-to-back two deep runs in WSOP Circuit Main Event. Yes, he has played just two circuits and had a tremendous showing in both tourneys. He defeated a field of 705 entries in the $1,675 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament at the Bicycle Hotel & Casino to win his first title and the coveted gold ring. “Winning always feels great, regardless of how big. And this was pretty big. So yeah, it’s really good,” said the elated Wilkerson from California.DylanWilkersonFEAT

Wilkerson entered the final day as one of short-stacks, but he didn’t want to miss out on the golden opportunity and so he played smartly climbing up in chips and taking down the event finally. He was 8th in chips when just 12 players remained in the field for Final Day. At the final table, he defeated some big brains in poker, including the two-time bracelet winner and 2001 WSOP Main Event Champion Carlos Mortensen, WSOP Circuit ring holder Matt Stout and the well-known British pros Iaron Lightbourne and EPT 2010 Villamoura winner Toby Lewis to clinch the coveted title.

After Douglas Jefferson going in 3rd place, the heads-up game began between Wilkerson and Toby Lewis. On the final hand of the heads-up, Wilkerson raised to 350,000 from the button to which Lewis made a quick call. The flop came Qc-8d-6c and both players checked the flop. The turn delivered 2s and Lewis bet 550,000 to which Wilkerson made the call. The river completed the board with the 4h and Lewis made a bet of 1,450,000. Wilkerson announced him all in and Lewis made the call. Wilkerson tabled 2h-2d for a three of kind, while Lewis showed 6h-4c for his runner-up finish for $134,145.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Bicycle Main Event attracted a total of 705 entries, creating a prize pool of $1,059,000 . The top 72 players made the money from this big money tournament.
