India Online Poker Tournament (IOPT) 2, India’s largest online poker tournament series concluded at Adda52.com yesterday and prizes of more than Rs. 4 Lakhs were given away to winners. The three day poker tournament had a combined guaranteed prize of Rs. 3.2 Lakhs but the huge response saw the organisers give away much more cash.
The first poker tournament IOPT 0.5K Buy-in was held on 1st August 2013 and had a gauranteed prize pool of Rs 20K. But with a huge playing field of 99 poker players entering, the prize money was raised to Rs. 55K. The winners included vkviper 15000, jqkal 12500, poker_bluffmaster 7500, newbie_oops 5000, luke1 4000, hemantbh 3000, smartmech 2000 and chanakyax 1000
On 2nd August, the IOPT 2K buy-in event was held where the prize pool gauranteed was Rs. 1 Lakh but was raised to Rs. 1.66 Lakhs after 83 poker players entered the same. jasthegreat won the top prize of Rs. 50K while frankydev got Rs 25000 and pomoveloO won Rs. 18000.
In the mega event on 3rd August where the buy-in was Rs, 5000 and prize pool was Rs. 2Lakh, 46 entrants were there raising the prize pool to Rs. 2.3 Lakh. badtameez_donk won the top prize of Rs.84000 while aggtarun got Rs.56000 for his second place finish. Nice_arm was third and won Rs.36000 and achilles got Rs.24000 for coming fourth.
