Poker as a game of skill is fast-catching the nerves of Indian masses. It is perhaps for this growing recognition for the game that Honorable President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind will honor former Adda52  pro-Muskan Sethi along with other 99 female achievers from India, as per Hindustan Times.

This special award by the president will be handed out to women who have been the first to make a career in male-dominated professions. Muskan Sethi is one such female who was the first to make a career in a male-dominated game of poker and now she is joined by a bunch of other successful female players from the country including the Adda52 Team Pro Nikita Luther who recently became the first Indian woman to win an international title by taking down Teams Event at MPC Macau.

When asked by about this special honor by the president of India, Muskan said “”It’s hard to express how I feel, my journey so far is flashing before my eyes, feeling blessed and really looking forward,”

Muskan Sethi, hailing from New Delhi, has been playing poker since around 2010. At the moment, she has around $114,597 in online tournament cashes and $44,310 in live tournament earnings. Sethi feels that poker is fast growing in the country and internet poker sites are playing a key role in this.

Industry experts believe that the big poker sites like Adda52.com have been playing a key role to boost women poker in India. Last year, Adda52.com signed up Nikita Luther as its female poker pro and very recently the site roped in the Bollywood actress Minissha Lamba to promote women poker in the country. Adda52 in collaboration with Deltin Royale Goa also holds Ladies Event during DPT, providing women poker players a platform to showcase their skills.
