The 2017 PokerStars Championship is down to Day 3 after completing Day 2 and it is Pakani Lisawad from Thailand who leads the way with 201,200 in chips. The event drew a massive field of 536 to take up the prize pool upto a whopping HK$20,796,800, which is set to be shared by the top 103 finishers. While the min-cash in this event remains HK$62,500, the eventual winner is set to collect HK$3,130,000 in the top prize.
Leading the Day 2 was the online qualifier Joachim Bold with a stack of 130,500 chips. After six levels of Day 2 play at PSC Macau 2017, only 151 remain to battle it out for the whopping HK$ 20,796,000 prize pool. Thailand’s Pakani Lisawad leads the survivors for Day 3 with 301,200 in chips. Lisawad began Day 2 as one of the shorter stacks with 47,600 in chips but his stacks grew up very soon. He flopped pairs to eliminate the 2015 APPT Champion, Tony Cheng. Now sitting behind Lisawad with a stack of 275,700 is France’s Ivan Deyra who finished the day with 275,700 in chips. Hong Kong’s Chuanshu Chen (272,700), Belarus’ Kiryl Radzivonau (243,200) and France’s Fabrice Soulier (243,000) are among the top five players who made it to Day 3 of the PSC HK$42,400 Main Event, Macau.
Some notable players who failed to enter Day 3 include Team Online’s Randy ‘nanonoko’ Lew and HK$400,000 Super High Roller Champion Steve O’Dwyer. The U.K.’s Jack Salter also failed to enter Day 3 along with the Canada’s Daniel Dvoress, Australia’s Kelvin Beattie and U.S. pro Isaac Haxton.

On Day 2, the four well-known poker players from India made to Day 2, including Adda52 Pro Live Kunal Patni (32,300), Raghav Bansal (21,400), Sahil Chutani (20,500) and Aditya Agarwal (17,700). Unfortunately, none of them could enter Day 3 and they all exited at the close of play on Day 2 only.
Sam Greenwood on Top in HK$82,400 PLO High Roller After Day 1
The two-day HK$82K PLO High Roller attracted a total of 36 entrants and created a prize pool of HK$2,793,600. The battle will be tough as only the top six players are going to share the prize pool. While the min-cash remains as HK$196,100 (~$25,240), the winner will collect HK$950,000. The event has come down to nine players and it is Sam Greenwood who has the largest stack of 438,500 on Day 1. He is followed by Ka Kwan Lau from Spain who holds 262,500 in chips. Among other chip leads include Fabian Geisel from Germany (206,500) and USA’s Daniel Geeng (174,000). Other notables who have bagged respectable stacks include Kushner (165,000), Felipe Ramos (124,000) and Isaac Haxton (114,000), and the World Series of Poker bracelet winner Martin Kozlov (22,500).
