Yesterday, Adda52 hosted its popular weekly tourney – Godfather 6.0, which currently guarantees INR 20 Lac GTD prizepoool for a buy-in of INR 5,500 and promises the winner a ticket to 7 Lac Aussie SNG. The event drew 401 entries to create 20 Lac + prizepool and outlasting these entries this time was Suresh Kolli aka ‘insanium’. He beat a tough field and Harshit Chopra aka ‘hashstack’ in heads-up to take home INR 5,01,250 prizemoney. Chopra pocketed INR 3,10,775 for his runner-up finish.
On his way to the grand victory in this event, Kolli beat a tough final table that featured the likes of Shashank Jain aka ‘felter’ (3rd for INR 2,30,575 and Anuj Kumar Kodam aka ‘thekinganuj’ (7th for INR 65,163), Rajesh Singh aka ‘phanthom’ (9th for INR 40,100). The recent Mega Suits winner – Apratim Sharma aka ‘checmate’ unfortunately exited this online tournament as the FT bubble boy.
A total of 45 places were paid out in this event with min-cashes starting from INR 7,018. The lion’s share went to the eventual winner Kolli, who won INR 5,01,250 and an entry ticket to 7 Lac Aussie SNG for his victory. While Kolli has already cashed out in various tournaments, including Beast and Gayle Storm 3.0, this win in Godfather 6.0 was by far his biggest online score on adda52.com.
The Godfather tourney sees a strong field and yesterday was no exception, with some top pros joining in the field, including the WSOP bracelet winner Aditya Sushant aka ‘A_Sushant’ (14th for INR 18,045) and Adda52 Team Pro – Tarun Goyal aka ‘aggtarun’ who finished 23rd for INR 10,025.
After his grand win in this online tournament, we caught up with the eventual winner Kolli via an online chat and he said, “It’s an amazing feeling to win such a big MTT. Godfather has a great structure.”
Final Hand
The last hand of the tournament came with blinds running 30k-60k-4500 where ‘hashstack’ holding Kh-4s moved all-in and the eventual winner ‘insanium’ holding Qd 4c called. The board ran out Qs Qh 5d 2c Ah, giving ‘insanium’ three of a kind to take down the pot as well as Godfather 6.0 title.
