WPT Online: Jason Mercier Takes Down $10K PLO High Roller For $279K

It turned to be an eventful Friday for the 2015 SCOOP Player of the Year Jason Mercier who earned his first WPT Online title after taking down Event #46: $10,300 Pot Limit Omaha High Roller for $279,265. Merciar, who is one of the 10 players to have won five PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker titles, bested the 101-entry field, including Linus Loeliger in heads-up who settled for $176,750 as the runner-up. The third-place finisher Viktor Blom walked away with $121,200, while Yuri Dzivielevski finished fourth to take $86,860 out of the $1,010,000 prizepool via 101 entries.

Other Winners

Mercier’s victory was one of five WPT Online titles awarded on Friday. Other winners included Frank Lillis (topped 269 entries to win Event #47:$1,575 Six Max Bounty Hunter for $35,456.23 and $39,931.67 in bounties), Alex Everitt (topped the 1,367-entry field in Event #47: Mini $162 Six Max Bounty Hunter to win $12,071 and $9,311.61 in bounties), and UK-based Andres Gonzalez De Agustin (won $8,478.16 and another $12,164.09 in bounties for outlasting 185 entries in Event #48: $530 Six Max Hyper Bounty NLHE). The fifth WPT title went to Fausto Tantillo who took down Event #48 Mini:$55 Six Max Hyper Bounty NLHE) to take home $3,099.06 and $2,127.84 in bounties.
