Day 10 of the 13.5 Crore GTD WPT Online India (WPTOI) was a cracking day of poker with as many as 9 tournaments on the day’s schedule, including the 15 Lac GTD WPT Diwali Special. There were 7 winners collecting a WPTOI title on the Diwali day. The biggest score belonged to the well-known pro Sahil Chutani who won his first-ever WPT Trophy and a cool INR 3.45 Lac in the WPT Diwali Special tourney. The WPT Monday Feature champion Gagandeep Malik came close to winning his second WPTOI title as he chopped the top prize in the WPT Mini 6-Max tourney with “ankumalik” (1st for INR 1,63,118) to win INR 1,58,082. Saahib Bawa went on to win the 5 Lac GTD WPT Classic for 89,906.
25 Lac GTD WPT India Mini Main Event Day 1D & 1E
The WPT India Mini ME played out its Day 1D and 1E flights, with Day 1D registering 160 entries. At the end of 29 levels of play, only 16 runners were able to advance to the event’s Finale scheduled to start tonight at 10:15PM. Mystery user “bandy” (525,608) bagged the most massive stack of the day, while “PhoenixEye” (252,746) & “enjay1968” (241,643) rounded out the top 3 stacks of the day.
The Day 1E did better, drawing in 261 entries. Following 29 levels of play, the day ended with Anuj Yadav aka “anuj25395” (379,609 chips) leading the 25 survivors. The WPT Mini 6-Max champion from the series Kamal “Kjo” Joshi (321,344) and “nexus010” rounded out the top 3 stacks of the day.
15 Lac GTD WPT Diwali Special
Sporting a modest buy-in of INR 2500, the 15 Lac GTD WPT Diwali Special was the biggest tourney to crown a winner on Day 10 of the series. The special WPT tourney fared well, drawing in 659 entries to meet its advertised guaranteed prizepool, which was eventually shared by the top 72 players.
In the end, walking away with the lion’s share of the prizepool was the former Mega Suits winner Sahil Chutani aka “bluffme19” who shipped it to win his first WPT Trophy and a cool INR 3,45,000 in prize money. He eventually defeated mystery user “5jupitar” (runner-up for INR 1,99,125) in HU.
Former AOPS Main Event winner Faiz Alam aka “theinternetkid” (3rd for INR 1,35,000), Rudramani “rud1478” Pokhrel (5th for INR 75,000), and Vashi “fiery” Vas (6th for INR 52,500) posted FT scores.
8 Lac GTD WPT Mini 6-Max
Another major tourney on Day 10 of the series, the 8 Lac GTD WPT Mini 6-Max sporting a buy-in of INR 2200, could muster only 343 entries. The WPT Monday Feature champion Gagandeep Malik aka “gaganhyd” came close to winning his second WPT Online title in the tourney but had to settle as a runner-up to mystery user “ankumalik” who banked INR 1,63,118 for his win, following a heads-up deal with Malik who pocketed INR 1,58,082. R J Prakash aka “prakash7639” finished 3rd for INR 88k.
5 Lac GTD WPT Classic
Adda52 reg Saahib Bawa aka “saahib” was the winner of the 5 Lac GTD WPT Classic sporting a buy-in of INR 1500. He came out on top of a 285-entry field and walked away with INR 89,906, following a three-way deal with “hanna52” (runner-up for INR 88,411) and “Messironaldo007” (83,433).
