WSOP BIG 50: Sikander Rajwade Headlines 4 Indians To Day 2D; Kunal Patni Leads 5 Indians To Day 2C

The BIG 50 – $500 No-Limit Hold’em of the 50th WSOP is a record-breaking success as it has registered a record 28,000 + entries (Day 1A – 6,000 +, Day 1B – 5,972, Day 1C – 7,206 and Day 1D – 9,171). That field crushed the prizepool guarantee and generated $14 Million + in the prizemoney.

The fourth and final starting flight of the event was Day 1D and it drew the highest numbers of 9,171 entries. After 12 levels of play, the field came down to 2,103 players who progressed to Day 2D.

Among the ones progressing to Day 2D were four Indians with Sikander Rajwade headlining them with 434,000 in chips. Following him were the Mumbai pro Shravan Chhabria (114,000), two time bracelet winner Nipun Java (92,000) and seasoned pro Raghav Bansal who bagged 59,000 in chips.

Andrei Khosh emerged as the chip leader with 970,000, while Arne Kern (963,000) and Kevin Mooney (944,000) finished second and third in chips. Some notables to progress were Kevin O’Donnell (773,000), Rick Trigg (663,000), Max Brown (496,000) and James Dempsey (350,000).

All the survivors from this flight will return to Day 2D play, which is slated to play out on June 4.

Day 1C – Adda52 Team Pro Kunal Patni Leads 5 Indians To Day 2C

Day 1C of the event drew a total of 7,206 entries. By the end of the day, the field whittled down to just 1,504 with Leandro Padilla (1,184,000) bagging the chip lead. Phuoc Nguyen (1,000,000) as second and third in chips. Some notables to progress were Joshua Suyat (801,000),WSOP bracelet winner Steve Zolotow (256,000), 2018 WSOP Player of the Year Shaun Deeb (252,000), Aaron Massey (188,000), 2006 ME champion Jamie Gold (135,000) and Allen Kessler (112,000) to name a few.

Among the 1,504 qualifiers of Day 1C were five Indians progressing to Day 2C and they included Adda52 Team Pro Kunal Patni bagging a huge stack of 404,000 in chips, Sriharsha Doddapaneni (330,000), Prashray Rai (330,000), Kartik Ved (247,000), and Deepak Bothra (148,000).

All the survivors will be returning fpr Day 2C, whis slated to play out today, June 3.
