Montagner, Sexton In Good Position To Win WPT Venice Grand Prix

Marcello Mongatner led the final field of 6 players into the climax of the main event of the 2013 World Poker Tour (WPT) Venice Grand Prix with a huge chip stack of 1,805,000 chips. Mike Sexton and Roberto Begni were also in good position at the end of Day 4 with 1,079,000 and 1,203,000 chips respectively.

Day 4 commenced at Casino Di Venezia with the field trimmed to 18 players from 173 and all were vying for the big prize money of $180,097. Many big names crashed out in the meanwhile including Day 2 Leader Ludovic Lacay, 2011 WSOP runner up Martin Staszko and WPT Grand Prix Paris Champion Matt Salsberg. 

The top 3 players in chip stacks are in solid position as against the bottom 3. Rocco Palumbo and Erion Islamay both sat at 406,000 chips while Xia Lin was the weakest with 309,000 chips only. Players will soon battle it out on a televised final table to win the WPT Glory at the worlds oldest casino.
