Peter Eastgate is one of those players, who entered the poker world at a very young age and marked their name in the history. He spent his childhood in Dalum which is a town in suburbs of Dense, Denmark. He went to Sct. Canute’s Gymnasium, where his friends introduced him to poker. Later on Eastgate enrolled in Aarhus University to study Economics. But his love for the game made him drop out of the college and he started playing poker full time.
In the beginning of his career Eastgate tried his hand at online poker and after getting success there he started playing in Live Tournaments. The biggest opportunity came his way when he qualified to play in World Series of Poker,2008 while playing online on Ladbrokes Poker website. He participated in the event which was held in Las Vegas as a member of Team Ladbrokes. At the event he did something which made him known world over. He became the youngest player to win a WSOP event. At an age of 22, it was really remarkable.
In the following year, he participated in some other events. But he shocked the entire world when he announced his retirement from the game. He explained his retirement by saying that poker gave him financial independence and he just don’t see himself playing professional poker for the rest of his life. But just after eight months of declaring retirement from the professional poker, Eastgate returned to the professional circuit and started playing again.
