Blair Hinkle wins his second WSOP Gold Ring

Blair Hinkle won his second WSOP Gold Ring by winning the $1,675 No Limit Hold’em Main Event of the World Series of Poker(WSOP) Circuit Horseshoe Council Bluffs and created history by winning the same event twice. He now holds to his name the distinguished credit of being the only man in WSOP Circuit History to win the same main event twice having won here in 2010 previously.

Hinkle was richer by $121,777 and toppled a field of 367 poker players. Apart from this he also wins an automatic seat in the WSOP National Championship. Brendan Waite was the chip leader entering the day while Hinkle was a close third in chip count. The final days action started on Level 26 and Phil Mader was the first to exit. Half an hour later, Tim Hughes was shown the door in ninth place. 3 quick eliminaions were seen in the form of Ben Smith(8th), Sterling Savill(7th) and Trevor Deeter(6th).

Cord Garcia finished in 5th place while Hinkle profited a lot from the exit of Mark Bonsack in 4th place. Sean Small came in third while Wait had to settle for second spot.
