WSOP Event#15: Tom Schneider Shines Again After a Gap of Six Years

tom-schneider-7880After becoming Player of the Year in 2007, Tom Schneider proved his might after a long gap of six years and won Event#15 $1,500 H.O.R.S.E on Monday morning. In year 2007, he won two bracelets to capture the title of player of the year and after winning a WSOP bracelet in ongoing tournament, he became a proud owner of three bracelets. Schneider has been in the money finishes at WSOP tournaments previously but always missed the title. But this time he broke the spell and grabbed the precious bracelet along with prize money of $258,960.

The highlight of the final table of Event#15 was the finalists. The eight finalist has won more than $5 million at WSOP events, seven gold bracelets with 37 appearance at the final table. Apart from the Champion other famous poker players fighting for the title were WSOP Champions Owais Ahmed, Rep Porter and Frankie O’Dell along with some of the future stars of poker world.

The total number of player who participated in Event#15 was 862. Out of these players 92 made money finish and received $2,595. Jesse Sylvia, Mathew Waxman, Dan Kelly, David Bach and Andy Bloch were amongst others which made it into money finish.

Event#15 was a combination of five games which are Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or better, Limit Omaha, Seven Card Stud, Razz and Seven Card Hi-Low Split-8 or better. This was the first of the two H.O.R.S.E Events which will take place in WSOP 2013. The next will commence on June 15.
