Golden Aces and Adda52 to organise the first Poker Night in IIM-Lucknow

IIM-LIn an endeavor to promote the game of poker and showcase the use of skill for this card game, Golden Aces and Adda52.com in association with Varchasva 2013 are organising the first ever official Poker Night in IIM-Lucknow on 5th October. The one of a kind poker tournament will be held during the Top Business School’s festival called Varchasva 2013.

The freeroll tourney will see the organisers give away prizes worth INR 1.5 Lakhs to the winners. A maximum of 150-200 entrants will be there for the Poker Night which will see some of the best brains of the country showcase their skills on the felt. This poker tournament will go a long way in promoting the cause of the poker game in India as only the most skilled participant will reign. Permutations and combinations will rank high as a very intelligent bunch of college students of the Indian Institute of Management(Lucknow) figure out the best way to cut the chase and conquer the big prize.

A spokesperson of Golden Aces has informed OPN that the prizes worth INR 1.5 Lakhs would be sponsored by Golden Aces and Adda52.com. The freezeout tournament will see the participants start their poker game with a starting stack of 5000 chips and play down till the end. 15 players will finish in the money and the top 20 finishers will also receive poker decks from Adda52.com.

This is perhaps the first time two big players in the Indian poker scene are coming together to organise an event at a prominent B-School of the country.While Golden Aces Cards Room is a regular feature on the Indian Poker Calender and organise poker tournaments through the year, the main being the Golden Aces Poker League(GAPL), Adda52.com is India’s premier poker portal with the best online poker interface in the country.

    Can a non-IIM student participate in the event? Where can I find more details about the tournament?

      Ravi, Non IIM sudents cannot participate. This is an exclusive inter college tourney.
