EPT Barcelona Main Event Day 1b Update: Duta in Chip Lead

EPTCasino Barcelona hosting the European Poker Tour (EPT ) Barcelona leg of Season 10 saw a massive turnout of poker players on Day 1b as Florian Dimitrie Duta emerged in chip lead. Eight levels of play was witnessed as 708 entrants flocked the hugely popular poker tournament.

EPT Barcelona is one of the most sought after destinations of the EPT Season and the number of players entering the main event goes to prove that. With 517 players on Day 1a and 708 on Day 1b, the two starting flights ended and will combine for the next days play. Florian Dimitrie Duta became the chip leader with an impressive 187,000 chips on Day 1b.

Notable poker players like Maksim Bura, Jonathan Little and David Benefield also survived the day and built healthy chip stacks. Some of those who hit the rail included Alpha8 High Roller champion Steven Silverman, Daniel Negreanu and Lex Veldhuis.

As the two flights will combine to start Day 2, Dragon Kostic who had amassed 215,000 chips will begin the day in lead. He will be followed by Duta and others on top on day 1a.
