Rosenbarger is WPT Montreal Champion

Derrick Rosenbarger prevailed over a strong field of 862 players to win the PartyPoker WPT Montreal Main Event last weekend. He won the top prize of $500,824, the WPT Montreal Champions Belt and also etched his name in the Champions Club. The 30-year old Pilot from New Mexico came from behind to beat the experienced Mukul Pahuja is a long heads up battle to win his first ever WPT Title.

The $3,850 WPT Montreal Main Event had started on 29th November and had seen three starting flights. After a week of hard fought poker action, the champion was crowned from a power packed six handed final table which also included Sylvain Siebert.

WPT Action hasn’t taken even a days break as WPT Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic at Bellagio, Lss Vegas kicked off on Saturday. Ravi Raghavan who entered the top 10 of the GPI Rankings last week will be looking to defend his title.
