Crown Casino Melbourne has opened the online registration gateway to enter the WSOP Asia-Pacific which kicks off on 2nd October. The tournament wherein 10 gold bracelets will be up for grab enters its second edition this year. The poker pros are getting antsy as the bracelets on stake have been doubled from the first season of the tournament.

WSOP Asia-Pacific will start with NLHE Accumulator, 3-day event with a buy-in of AU$1,100. Pot Limit Omaha enters the mix in the 3rd event of the tournament with a buy-in of AU$1,650. Last year, Daniel Negreanu won the Main Event Bracelet and a lofty prize money of AU$1,038,825. Another poker pro, Phil Ivey, won his 9th WSOP gold bracelet at 2013 event advancing to the fourth place on the all-time WSOP bracelet list. Eyeing 10 WSOP gold bracelets, this season will see a star studded line-up of poker players with the likes of Brandon Shack-Harris and George Danzer who hold the top 2 positions in all-time WSOP list.

New events at modest price points like the Dealer’s Choice and Terminator No-Limit Hold’em, plus an expansion of overall events and pleasant spring weather in Melbourne is designed to encourage the North American and European contingent to make this a can’t-miss event.
