GPI Rankings: Schemion Continues His Reign while Mizzi Enters Top 10

GPI rankingThis week saw the same names in the Top 5, and the movement took place in the bottom half of the Top 10. Ole Schemion (GPI#1, =) is riding the horse at the top, and is the only player with over 4,000 points in the rankings. For reigning at the top for 13th consecutive in the GPI World Poker Rankings, Schemion has become the only player to sit at #1 in the 2015 World Rankings spending the longest streak to start a season in history of GPI.

Stephen Chidwick (GPI#6, +4) moves one spot from a career-best #5 World Ranking after a runner-up finish in the High Roller event at the Macau Poker Cup. This week saw the return of Sorel Mizzi (GPI#10, +8) to the GPI Top 10. Thanks to his final table performance at the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star that helped him to make a return to the Top 10 for the first time in two months.

Furthermore, Taylor Paur (GPI#84, +116) the winner of WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star jacked up the charts  jumping over 100 spots for his highest ranking in almost two years. This latest move by Paur’s will continue as he recently final tabled the final leg of the WPT’s California Swing at WPT Rolling Thunder.
