Vanessa Selbst Wins $1 million at Super High Roller Celebrity Shootout

Vanessa_Selbst3-times WSOP bracelet winner Vanessa Selbst has won the inaugural edition of Super High Roller Celebrity Shootout series. Vanessa bagged a sweet payday of $1 million for winning this start-studded series. Poker Central, the brand new 24×7 poker channel which was launched at the start of 2015 hosted this event.

The Super High Roller Celebrity Shootout was played on two tables. One was occupied by the celebrities – Hank Azaria, Don Cheadle, Brad Garrett, Norm Macdonald and Kevin Pollak. The American actor and comedian Kevin took down the 4 opponents to qualify for the final heads-up.

The 2nd table saw some of the biggies of the poker industry as in Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, Vanessa Selbst, Phil Hellmuth and Antonio Esfandiari. Vanessa triumphed this qualifying game to face Kevin Pollak in the “Winner Takes All” heads-up.

Kevin and Vanessa played a best-of-three match in the heads-up which Vanessa took down by winning two consecutive rounds. Vanessa captured her 3rd 7-figure cash prize winning the first edition of Super High Roller Celebrity Shootout. She now sits in the 19th spot of poker’s ‘All Time Money List’ with $11,640,642 in tournament winnings.

In the next edition of this series, 43 players will vie for the top prize of $7 million. The 2nd edition will be a $500,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl featuring many notable players from the international poker circuit including Jason Mercier, Daniel Negreanu, Scott Seiver, Erik Seidel, Ole Schemion, and Dan Smith.
