Mustapha Kanit Ships the Sunday Million and “CMoosepower” Wins the FTOPS XXIX Main Event

The virtual poker felt saw a surge in tournament action on Sunday, 13th March with two major tournaments being played globally. Sunday Million, the most popular online poker tournament once again drew entries close to 6,000 while the FTOPS XXIX Main Event overshot its guarantees with 815 players joining the event. Mustapha Kanit who was the 1st draft pick in inaugural edition of Global Poker League by the Rome Emperors won the Sunday Million for $177,229.79 playing under his screen – lasagnaaammm. Kanit, now has $4,254,636 in online tournament winnings as per PocketFives.com. This Sunday Million victory came just 7 days after he won $215 Sunday Supersonic [6-Max], $250K Gtd for $48,000. Kanit has now 41 online tournament winnings with the biggest cash $1,304,720 which he won by topping the 694 player online field in SCOOP-45-H: $10,300 NL Hold’em Main Event in 2015. In only 10 weeks of 2016, Kanit has $1.4 million in combined earnings which is a big boost to his GPL team. With WSOP starting in another 10 week from now and other major series across the year, Kanit can amass 6-7 million if he keeps going at this pace.

In what could be the last Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) after the site is about to merge into PokerStars, Christian “CMoosepower” Elgstrøm triumphed a main event which lasted for over 13 hours. He beat Spain’s Jonathan “dante-sp” Concepción in heads-up to collect the top prize of $63,472. PokerStars $1,050 Super Tuesday, $300K Gtd remains his biggest online victory till date wherein he had bagged $74,868 in 1st place after a 5-way deal. With this event, the 29th edition of FTOPS came to an end on Sunday.
