PokerStars Launches First Ever Sunday Millions Live;WSOP Circuit Announces Schedule for its 14th Season

The world’s largest weekly poker tournament, the PokerStars Sunday Million, is making a shift from the virtual felt to the live arena with an exclusive edition €1 million guaranteed Sunday Million Live.sunday million and WSOPC

This special event will take place from August 24 to September 3 at the Europe’s most popular  King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, which recently played a host to PokerStars Festival in March. Interestingly enough for players, PokerStars has come up with a structure which allows players to play Day 1 online or live at King’s Casino. Online Day 1s begins on June 18, 2017 with €215 buy-in. Players can play multiple online Day 1s. All players who survive on Day 1 will move to the live Day 2, where they will be able to compete for the prestigious titles and a place in poker history at King’s Casino on September 3. Live Day 1s start from August 24 at King’s Casino with €220 buy-in.

The PokerStars Sunday Million has been running since 2006 and is one of the world’s largest weekly poker tournaments. Recently, the tournament celebrated its 11th anniversary with an $11,167,000 prize pool and created PokerStars’ 200th millionaire when ‘Xavi666’ won a hefty $1,093,204. Till date, the tournament has received around 3,000,000 unique entries with 5,000 entries coming each week.

The WSOP Circuit Announces Schedule for its 14th Season 

The schedule for the 14th season of the world Series of Poker Circuit has been announced. The calendar for the series 2017-18 features a record 26 stops, starting with the WSOPC Harrah’s Cherokee on August 2, 2017 and continuing through the WSOPC Harrah’s New Orleans kicking off on May 10, 2018. It is interesting to note that this WSOP Circuit includes more than another dozen stops planned for future, and the announcement for the same is expected to be released very soon.

Three New Stops on the Schedule

The main WSOP Circuit schedule this season has three new stops. Thunder Valley Casino in Northern California will play host to the event two times, with the first stop running from September 14-25, 2017 and the second taking place from January 11 – 22, 2018. The third new stop will be hosted at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hollywood from September 21 – October 2, 2017.

“We are very proud of what the WSOP Circuit has become and how it has performed for our partner casinos who have come aboard,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart. “Players know they get a consistent structure and schedule at each stop, plus the opportunity to win big prizes as well as their seat into the million-dollar freeroll with a WSOP gold bracelet up for grabs.”

The famous touristic spot Choctaw Durant in Dallas/Oklahoma has a second stop this season, with several events scheduled from November 2-13, 2017 and from January 4-15, 2018. Harrah’s Cherokee host three stops in August, November and the last one in the month of April. The mecca of poker- Las Vegas has three stops, two at Planet Hollywood from November 9-20, 2017 and from March 3-14, 2018 and one at the WSOP home, the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino from February 15-26, 2018.

WSOP Circuit Season 14 Culminates with Global Casino Championship

The 14th season of WSOP Circuit once again culminates in the gold-bracelet-awarding Global Casino Championship, an event players must qualify for to win $1 million in added money. Players can qualify for this event for free by winning a WSOP Circuit main event, by taking down a casino championship or by being one of the top 50 cumulative WSOP Circuit point earners through the season.
