Sunday AF: Ratul Bhat Ships Mega Suits; Sumit Sapra Takes Down Adda52 Millions

Team India has been notching up some exciting scores at the 2018 WSOP. After Adda52 Team Pro Nikita Luther winning the 2nd bracelet for India and Nishant Sharma making the deepest Indian finish in the WSOP ME, it’s Paawan Bansal who has finished runner-up in the Event #75 – The Closer – $1,500 NLHE earning $378,765 (INR 2.60 Crores) to record the biggest live score by an Indian.

However, the crazy action is not restricted to live felts alone, as the virtual felts are also blazing with intense battles. Heating up the virtual felts on this past Sunday was Ratul Bhat aka ‘riverking021’, who won the 30 Lac GTD Mega Suits to emerge the biggest earner of the week on pocketing a hefty INR 10 Lac for his first-place finish in the tourney. He faced the well-known Sahil Chutani aka ‘bluffme19’ whose Pocket Tens did not hold up against his A-6. Ratul outlasted a strong field of 535 entries. Top 36 players were paid out with a min-cash of INR 13,500.

Ratul was extremely happy after his win in Adda52’s Mega Suits as last to last week he won Adda52 Millions and just a week later, he took down this mega event. “It felt really awesome because last to last week I won Adda52 millions and a weak later I won this. I’ve been working on my game and I’m really happy to see the result! The tourney has a good structure and it’s a high-value tournament.”

In heads-up, Sapra faced his friend ‘sweatmyass13’ whose Kc 3c could not hold up against his Ks Qh on the final hand of the tourney.

Post his win, Sapra said, “it feels good to win something on a Sunday after a bit of a dry spell. The tourney is one of my favorites as 6-max is my preferred format. Overall experience was good and it was a tough final table. I went heads up with my good friend Shravan, ran pretty well in some crucial spots towards the end to close it out.”
