WPT Global Teams Event Day 1: Team New Zealand Leads, Team India At #8

The WPT Global Teams Event started just yesterday in Korea at the Paradise City Hotel & Casino and it will run till 21st September 2018 as a part of the WPT Korea series. Yesterday was its Day 1 that kicked off with a 9-Max NLHE event followed by a Heads-Up NLH and a Heads-Up PLO event.

After several hours of fierce battles on Day 1, Team India managed to score a total of 78 points to be ranked at #8, just behind Team Japan holding 78.5 points. It was a big day for Team New Zealand comprising the likes of Thomas Ward (captain), Jack Efaraimo, Alicia Tangiiti and Paul Hockin. They ended the day in the lead with104.5 points. New Zealand was followed by Team China and Team UK, finishing 2nd and 3rd with impressive 96 points and 89.5 points.

Day 2 is now underway and it features a PLO (two players) event and Tag Team (two players) event followed by a 6-Max NLH event. For Day 2, we wish good luck for Team India comprising of Adda52 Pros Kunal Patni, Amit Jain, Nikita Luther and PSL Season 2 winning mentor, Dhaval Mudgal.
