WSOPE Main Event 2018: Shravan Chhabria Makes Day 3; Sammartino Leads The Survivors

 The 2018 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) has been going on for over 20 days at the Kings Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. The action got crazier on Day 2 of the WSOPE €10,350 Main Event where a total of 221 survivors from the two starting flight resumed the play yesterday.

The Day 2 of the event saw an additional 193 entries registering over the course of the first four levels of play, thus taking the total tally to 534 entries and creating the total prize pool of €5,073,000.

Several Indians are participating in the series. Just a few days back, it was Dhawal Lachhwani making Day 3 of WSOPE Monster Stack and finishing 10th for €6,949 in the tournament. Now, it is India’s ace player – Shravan Chhabria (239,000) making Day 3 of the ongoing 2018 WSOPE €10,350 Main Event.

Chhabria, the winner of Adda52’s Crazy Leaderboard I, Godfather, Adda52 Millions,Sunday Suits and several other tourneys, qualified from Day 1B flight. He started Day 2 action with a healthy stack of 208,100 and kept up the momentum going all through the day to amass 239,000 chips into Day 3.

By the Day 2 end, the field had come down to 165 players and 81 among them would make money. While the winner will take €1,22,239 payday, the minimum cash to be given away will be €15,074.

It was Italy’s Dario Sammartino who led the remaining 165 into Day 3 with a stack of 1,480,000, which is much bigger than Chhabria’s, but we hope that the latter chips up well and secures the win.

Some notables who entered Day 3 of the event included Rainer Kempe (818,000), Michael Sklenicka (722,000), Laszlo Bujtas (713,500),Timothy Adams (629,500), WSOP bracelet winner Niall Farrell (625,000), David Urban (546,000), 2018 EPT Barcelona champion Piotr Nurzynski (496,000), 2013 WSOP ME champ Ryan Riess (382,000), David Peters (295,500), Johannes Becker (287,500), Kristen Bicknell (248,500) and the Day 1B chip leader Adrian Mateos (245,000).
