Last night, India’s No. 1 Poker Site – Adda52 hosted its flagship tournament – 20 Lac GTD Godfather, which is in its 9th edition. The INR 5,500 buy-in event drew a total of 405 entries and generated INR 20,25,016 in prizepool, which was shared by top 43 finishers with a min-cash being INR 11,138.
After a long grind of about 8 hours, the tournament crowned a winner in none other than Sahil Mahboobani aka ‘ImHighIshove’ who had finished runner-up in the 2018 WPT India Main Event for INR 46,53,000. Maboobani, who had also won this tournament in December 2018, reached heads-up with ‘hardikharpal’ who fought well but couldn’t go all the way, eventually finishing runner-up for INR 3,03,750. Mahboobani took home INR 5,02,200 to claim his second Godfather win on Adda52. In addition to the top prize, Sahil also earned a seat into 9 Lac Europe SNG to be played on 14th July.
To win the prestigious online tournament, Mahboobani beat a strong final table that featured ‘PankajGul’ (3rd for INR 2,12,625), Arjanveer Singh Chadha (4th for INR 1,62,000) and Siddarth Singhvi (6th for INR 70,875. Some notable regs to finish in the money were Siddharth Karia (12th for INR 25,313), Abhishek Garg (19th for INR 17,213) and Anuj Kumar Kodam (25th for INR 15,188), Vinay B (29th for INR 13,163) and Kanishka Samant who exited in 31st place for INR 13,163.
Post his second Godfather win, we caught-up with Mahboobani via an online chat and he said, “It feels great to ship another Godfather! This time, I want to win the Godfather SNG tournament.”

Born and brought up in Hong Kong, Mahboobani is a respected name in the online MTT circuit in India. The talented player, who moved to Gurgaon around 2 years ago, has been playing poker for over 12 years now, full time for the last 2 years.
