This Thursday saw India’s No. 1 Poker Site – Adda52 host its 20 Lac GTD Godfather, an INR 5,500 buy-in online poker tournament. The prestigious tournament drew a field of 356 entries and outlasting the field was none other than Rubin Labroo aka ‘Kornkif’ who took home an impressive INR 5 Lac for his win. Labroo, who had won Mega Suits in April this year, defeated the well-known reg – Manoj Pentakota aka ‘thatsmymoney’ in heads-up, who earned INR 3,03,000 as second place prize.
Since most of the pros and regs are in Vegas for the WSOP, the field had a lot of recreational players. However, it was a great and deep heads-up for Labroo with Manoj Pentakota who played well but couldn’t go all the way, eventually finishing runner-up. The tournament paid out to top 38 players with a min-cash being INR 12k. Some known rgs to finish deep were Ayush Garg (9th for INR 40K), M. Khan (10th for INR 30K), Laksh Pal Singh (11th for INR 30K), Ankur Sehgal (14th for INR 22K), Kshitij Dhingra (17th for INR 19K), Naresh Rathnam (18th for INR 19K) and Chirag Sodha (19th for INR 19k).
Labroo is a very talented player from Delhi. He has notched up several notables scores, both live and online. His journey on Adda52 has been good so far. The player has made multiple final tables in Adda52 Millions, Judwaa, The Roar, Hitman, Sunday Suits, Whale, Gayle Storm, Mega Suits, etc. In April this year, he won Mega Suits and now he has added another win to his resume by shipping Godfather 9.0, which not only promises 20 Lac GTD prizepool but also features an SNG (14th July 2019) where all 9 winners of Godfather 9.0 will come together to battle it out for a 9 Lac Europe Package.
