2.5 Crore GTD WPT India Main Event Day 1E
The showstopper tourney of the ongoing series, the 2.5 Crore GTD WPT India Main Event, played out its fifth starting flight (Day 1E) yesterday with 248 entries entering the field. Only 24 players could advance to Day 2. Harry Singh aka ‘Harrys111’ (465,264) bagged the end of the Day 1E chip lead, while Ashok Kumar ‘justmissed’ Kailash (460,730), and ‘kapilsuneja’ (313,684) rounded out the top three stacks of the day. The Main Event has already registered 1,379 entries and there are still five starting flights to go, which means the event is inching towards beating its massive guarantee.
15 Lac GTD WPT India Madness Day 1E
Besides the Main Event, the 15 Lac GTD WPT India Madness was another tourney that ran its fifth flight – Day 1E. Registering an impressive 439 entries, Day 1E of the event saw 79 runners making it to Day 2. Ranveer Singh Sandhu aka ‘seven2222’ (269,832) bagged the end of the day chip lead, while Adda52 Team Pro Tarun ‘aggtarun’ Goyal (258,141), and ‘Hell12’ (227,609) rounded out top 3 stacks.
50 Lac GTD WPT India High Roller
The trophy event of the day, the 50 Lac GTD WPT India High Roller sporting a buy-in of INR 27,500 buy-in, wrapped up with a grand success, pulling in 270 entries. After almost 10 hours of gruelling play, coming out on top of the star-studded field was none other than India`s first solo bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer aka ‘checkshove’, who added a WPT Trophy and INR 17.55 Lac to his name. WPT Bounty Classic PKO Champion from the series, Peushup Eugene aka ‘peushup’, finished runner-up for INR 10.46 Lac, while Pradip Ghosh aka ‘Nit2Donk’ finished third to walk away with INR 7.86 Lac.
5 Lac GTD WPT Classic
The 5 Lac GTD WPT Classic pulled in 308 entries and coming out on top of the field was online MTT reg Neeraj Kumar aka ‘Kumartomar’ who banked INR 1.09 Lac after agreeing to a heads-up deal with Manash ‘Ravenclaws’ Kalita (runner-up for INR 91,247). ‘thepokerfaceblr’ finished third for INR 55K.
5 Lac GTD WPT PLO Bounty
The 5 Lac GTD WPT PLO Bounty registered a field of 188 entries, and the top 23 players got paid from a prize pool of INR 5.08 Lac. Navin Bohania aka ‘kutkut69A,’ shipped the tourney to win INR 1.42 Lac, while “MadMonkey” ended up as the runner-up and walked away with INR 85,277 prize.
