Adda52’s Deltin Online Poker Tournament (DOPT) A Smashing Success; More Than INR 5.86 Crores Awarded!

The third edition of the Deltin Online Poker Tournament (DOPT) on Adda52.com was at the forefront of the Indian poker world’s attention with several thousands of players getting into the action from 6th to 13th June 2021 in pursuit of DOPT glory and hefty prizes. The series featured a total of 68 events, including the 1.5 crore GTD Main Event that ended on a successful note this past Sunday.

This time, the series had a bigger prize pool guarantee of INR 5 Crores on offer and we must say that it was a smashing success with an overwhelming response from players across the country. The online festival attracted more than 26,000 entrants to smash its overall guarantee and generate a mammoth prize pool worth INR 5,86,61,156. Much of this gigantic prize pool was dispersed in the 1.5 Crore GTD DOPT Main Event, the biggest guaranteed tourney of the mega-series that drew a record-breaking field of 1500 + entries to generate a guarantee-crushing prize pool worth INR 1,50,70,018.

Biggest DOPT Events & Their Champions

The DOPT Main Event became the biggest ever tourney in the DOPT history and Gagandeep Malik aka ‘gaganhyd’ ended victorious, taking home a massive INR 24.7 Lac to become the biggest winner at the series. Malik is already a winner of Adda52’s several marquees like Mega Suits, WPT Monday Feature, AOPS Candolim, Inception, & The Mint and he added that missing DOPT title to his resume.

The second biggest guaranteed tournament was the 55 Lac GTD DOPT Highroller. The tourney fared pretty well, collecting a guarantee-crushing prize pool of INR 55.25 Lac on the back of 221 entries. It was the former Mega Suits and Godfather champion in Gokul “Niruha” Raj who shipped the mega high roller tourney to win INR 15,16,613 – by far his biggest score on Adda52.com.

Ladies Who Crushed At DOPT

The latest edition of the DOPT was a big series from women’s perspective as it saw a huge response from female players. To honour the passion of women for poker and encourage their participation in the game, the online series featured a special Freeroll tourney called  ‘2 Lac GTD DOPT Women’s Special’. The tourney was the talk of the poker town and got an overwhelming response with an impressive 315 players taking to the Adda52 felts to battle it out for their share from the 2 Lac GTD prize pool. In the end, it was Ankita Maheshwary aka ‘BillaFromBong’ who emerged victorious to win the top prize worth 40,000, with ‘Luck75’ walking away with 35,000 for her runner-up finish.

Post her win, Maheshwary said, “You will show your poker greatness by the hands you fold, and not the hands you play” – Dan Reed. I strongly believe in this quote and try to apply it as much as I can.”

Another lady who deserves a special mention is Ankita ‘ankumalik’ Ajay Malik. A five-time Running Hot winner, Ankita not only cashed several events at the DOPT but also won the DOPT Warm-Up for INR 79,045, which was her biggest score at the series. Her second biggest score came in the 1.5 Crore GTD DOPT Main Event Finale where she finished in 20th place to bank INR 72,613.

Post her DOPT Warm-Up win, Ankita said,  “I am feeling awesome. It’s a great start to the series for me. I just missed the second title that was of DOPT Kickoff in which I was runner up. So overall, I am loving it. The field in the tournament was not an easy one with many regular players being there.”

Single Day Largest Field Event

The single-day largest field event at the series was the 17 Lac GTD DOPT Wednesday Feature that attracted an impressive 729 entries and found a winner in Advait “ronaldinho018” Rajguru who banked INR 2.83 Lac, following a heads-up deal with “ruzzanaire77” (runner-up for INR 2.79 Lac).

Most DOPT Tournaments Won By A Player

Dreams came true for many players at all bankroll levels. Thanks to the plethora of satellites running throughout the DOPT giving players a shot at winning a hefty payday for a fraction of the buy-in. The series saw a total of 68 winners, with some of them taking down multiple titles. Biplob “hellhell” Rana topped the list of such players as he took down an impressive three tournaments at the series, namely the DOPT Flint for INR 36,352), DOPT Royale for INR 83,559), & DOPT Suites for INR 42,023).

Along with hefty cash prizes awarded, the series had an impressive 10 Lac in the leaderboard prizes. The leaderboards are meant to reward the most consistent players and it was Aman Parakh aka ‘karmapoker’ (1181 points) who ended the series as the most consistent player to win the DOPT leaderboard for 2.15 Lac. Devrat Singh aka ‘Vickypune’ (1115 points) came in second for 1.60 Lac. The leaderboard rewarded the top 20 players for their consistency. Here is a look at the top 5 finishers:

A total of 68 players emerged as the winners from the series, with the DOPT Main Event champion Gagandeep Malik placing as the top on the earnings list as he raked in a whopping INR 25,43,362 in winnings from the series. He was followed by the DOPT Main Event runner-up finisher Manish Lakhotia aka ‘newkidpoker’ with INR  19,74,421 and DOPT Main Event third-place finisher Vishal “GigaaBet” Bajaj with INR 16,83,270. The DOPT Highroller champion Gokul “Niruha” Raj placed fourth with INR 15,87,600.
