Powered by Adda52, the second edition of the WPT Online India (WPTOI) offering a jaw-dropping INR 25 Crore GTD completed its third day on Tuesday and saw nine players walking away with WPT titles.
Stealing the spotlight on Day 3 of the series was Vishnu Khandelwal aka ‘violator’ who championed the 22.50 Lac GTD WPT WPT Tuesday Feature 8 Max to win his first WPT trophy and INR 5.40 Lac, the single largest score of the day. The online MTT beast Gaurav “gauravarod” Sood finished runner-up in the tourney and walked away with INR 3.15 Lac for his runner-up finish. The former Full House champion Dhinesh “dinzy009” Kumar also added a WPT title to his tally after taking down the 8 Lac GTD WPT Mini 6-Max for INR 2,05,840. Sunday’s 2 Lac GTD WPT Daily Warm-Up winner, Avinash “i_fart_you_faint” Kumar (won the 4 Lac GTD WPT Classic for INR 1.04 Lac), Yash ‘Babyshark21’ Chitre (won the 4 Lac GTD WPT Multiplier for INR 1.02 Lac) and Sunday’s 3 Lac GTD WPT Late Night PKO winner Mohak ‘Sparkie’ Kapoor (won the 4 Lac GTD WPT Hustle for INR 82,356) were the other prominent winners of the day. 1 Crore GTD WPT Unreal Flight 3 (Buy-in INR 499)
Day 3 of the WPT Online India series as many as 10 events on its schedule. Nine of these events crowned champions, while the 1 Crore GTD WPT Unreal played out its third starting flight that pulled in a total of 402 participantss. After the stipulated 31 levels of play, only 49 players advanced to Day 2. The mystery player ‘SelfishTheist’ (446,388) bagged the end of the flight chip lead, with ‘Bebhav’ (289,490), and Sagar ‘rajsagar32’ Raj (275,515) rounding out the top three stacks from the flight.
22.50 Lac GTD WPT Tuesday Feature 8-Max (Buy-in INR 4400)
The only trophy event of the day to crown a winner, the 22.5 Lac GTD WPT Tuesday Feature, saw the online MTT reg Vishnu ‘violator’ Khandelwal coming out on top of a 500-entry field to win the WPT trophy along with INR 5.4 Lac in top prizemoney. The win also helped Khandelwal take the lead on the WPT Online India Mega leaderboard with 234 points. MTT beast Gaurav “gauravarod” Sood (runner-up for INR 3.15 Lac) and Arsh ‘bigggtymer’ Grover (3rd for INR 2.14 Lac) were the other notables to secure podium finishes. Also on the FT was Ranjeet “Rj147” Negi (4th for INR 1,12,500).
8 Lac GTD WPT Mini 6-Max (Buy-in INR 2200)
The 8 Lac GTD WPT Mini 6-Max tourney pulled in a 415-entry field to create prizepool worth INR 8.30 Lac. Walking away with the title and top prize was the former Full House champion Dhinesh ‘dinzy009’ Kumar who banked INR 2.06 Lac. Also making it to the podium were Debapriya ‘debapriya_12345’ Manna (runner-up for 1.24 Lac) and “MrJo” (3rd place for INR 87,150).
