WSOP 2022: Team Kraemer Leads The Remaining 20 Teams Into Day 3 Of Event #55: $1,000 Tag Team; Team Luther Finishes 124th

Kicking off on 26th June, Event #55: $1,000 Tag Team of the WSOP 2022 drew in 913 teams, with only 183 teams making it to Day 2 that concluded with just 20 teams remaining in contention for the title.

Team Kraemer (Mackenzie Kraemer and Jon Schiller) bagged the end-of-day chip lead with a stack of 1,715,000 chips. Following them is Team Russell (Adam Russell and Ryan O’Grady) with 1,575,000 chips. Team Barnum (Justin Barnum and DJ Buckley) ended up in third place with 1,505,000 chips.

The tournament generated $406,285 in prizepool and promised to pay out the top 137 teams. As many as 117 teams have already cashed and the remaining 20 teams are to be paid out on Day 3 on June 28. One of these teams will walk away with the top $74,042 prize and the coveted bracelet.

Among the teams cashing on Day 2 was Team Luther comprising Spartan Poker Pro Nikita Luther (who won the Tag Team bracelet in 2018 with Guiseppe Pantaleo) and Indo-Swiss player Dinesh Alt. They began the day with the fourth shortest stack but did well placing 124th for $1,611. This was Luther’s first time cashing at this year’s series and third time cashing the Tag Team Event. In 2018, she shipped the event with Guiseppe Pantaleo and earned her share worth $ 87,902. In 2021, she teamed up with Adda52 Game Ambassador Kunal Patni, and the duo placed 15th for $4,576.
