APT VSOP 2022: Kamal Kumar Sogani Becomes Fifth Indian To Win A Title At The Series

Team India is making a huge splash at the APT Summer Festival Hanoi – VSOP 2022 with four trophies already in their kitty. Thursday saw one more Indian, Kamal Kumar Sogani, winning a Trophy!

Day 11 of the series  on Thursday saw three winners, including India’s Kamal Kumar Sogani who shipped Event 22: Pot Limit Omaha that drew in only 10 entries for a prize pool of VND 97,000,000.

The event was running alongside Day 2 of the Championships Event and Sogani jumped in this event after busting the Championships Event. While there were several solid players in the field, Sogani went on to outlast them all and become the fifth Indian to win an APT title at the ongoing series.

Eventually, Sogani bested Joel Farris at heads up to win his first ever APT title and bring India its fifth win in this series. Sogani took home a cool VND 67,900,000 (INR 2.32 Lac) for his  remarkable victory.

Only top two players were paid out, with USA’s Joel Farris earning VND 29,100,000 as the runner-up.
