The return of the premier poker tournament series assumes a special significance, with this season’s events boasting a massive KRW 3 Billion in the guaranteed prize pool.

There are a whopping 73 tournaments on the schedule, with buy-ins ranging from $225 to $9,750. With guarantees going up to KWD 1,300,000,000, players can expect to win massive cash rewards.

APT Incheon 2023 Key Highlights

While there are several intriguing events to look forward, all eyes will be on the APT Incheon Main Event, where players can compete for the lion’s share of the massive KRW 1.3 Billion (USD $ 1M) prize pool guarantee. The seven-figure prize pool is a significant increase from the last edition’s KRW 300M guarantee, which drew 486 entrants and resulted in a whopping KRW 942M (USD $659K) prize pool. Farhad Aghayev of Azerbaijan won the title after defeating Japan’s Yosuke Takagi in heads-up play. He earned a career high score of KRW 170,228,000 (USD $119,134) and the APT trophy. With this year’s guarantee exceeding three times in its value, we are expecting record-breaking turnouts.

Sporting a buy-in of KRW 2,300,000 (~US$ 1,700), the KRW 1.3 Billion GTD main event is scheduled to take place from August 28 to September 2.
