WSOP Online 2023: Aayush Arya Becomes 5th Indian To Win A WSOP Bracelet; Ships $400 COLOSSUS Event

In a spectacular display of skills and tenacity, India’s Aayush Arya has won WSOP Online Event #22: $400 COLOSSUS to earn his maiden WSOP gold bracelet and a colossal prize money of INR 2.76 Crore ($331,878). Arya is the fifth Indian to win a World Series of Poker bracelet and has joined ranks of WSOP bracelet winners like Aditya Sushant, Nikita Luther, Abhinav Iyer and Kartik Ved.

This BITS Pilani alumni triumphed over a vast player field of 10,812 to win the online event and bring home the gold. He eventually outlasted Volodymyr Bartko who earned $243,297 as the runner-up.

With the victory, the young gun from Delhi has become the second highest scorer among the WSOP winners, only behind Abhinav Iyer who had won Event #84: The Closer in 2021 for INR 3.87 Crore.

On the final hand, Aayush Arya had 9d 6h and Volodymyr Bartko had Jh 6d. The board 2c 6c 9s Kh 2d gave Arya the coveted pot and as well as the title, earning  him his maiden WSOP bracelet.

Arya is no stranger to winning big live poker titles. This poker prodigy won the High Roller at the Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) in April 2022. That victory had earned him a massive INR 32.94 Lac.
