Bryn Kenney Wins Triton Poker Montenegro 6-Max; Blake Whittington Tops WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Tunica ME

American poker pro Bryn Kenney has emerged victorious in the 2019 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Montenegro $500,000 HKD six-max NLH event. The 32-year-old defeated a field of 79 total entries to win $11,230,000 HKD ($1,459,900 USD). To win the title, Kenney outlasted a tough final table that had Daniel Dvoress, Ivan Leow, Sergio Aido, Jason Koon and Christoph Vogelsang. This was Kenney’s 6th 7-figure cash and it took his live earnings to over $32.2 million, which is 6th all-time, behind only Justin Bonomo, Daniel Negreanu, Erik Seidel, David Peters and Fedor Holz.

“I made a lot of really good value bets, really good bluffs, played really ferocious, feel real strong,” Kenney told the reporters after wining the event. “When you get in such a zone for a while, you can only really think about cards. I feel great, just because I only really care about how I play.”

This was Kenney’s third title this year, having previously won the Aussie Millions main event and a $26,000 high roller at the U.S. Poker Open. Kenney won his largest live cash, finishing 2nd in the $2,000,000 HKD main event at Triton Poker Suoer High Roller Series Jeju for over $3.1 million USD.

The official final table began with Jason Koon’s pocket sixes busting the pocket fours of Christoph Vogelsang to eliminate him in sixth place. Koon was next to hit the rail. Koon’s pocket jacks ran into the pocket kings of Kenney and failed to win. Canadian player Daniel Dvoress then scored the two knockouts, eliminating recent European Poker Tour super high roller champion Sergio Aido  in 4th place and and Ivan Leow in 3rd place to eventually enter the heads-up showdown with Kenney.

Dvoress started heads-up with the lead, but Kenney was able to make a comeback. In the end, Dvoress called with Kc 10s from SB and Kenney moved all-in from BB with Ad 6c. Dvoress called and the board opened Kd 7d 7c 8d 4d where Kenney made a flush to win the title. Dvoress finished runner-up for $965,900 prizemoney, while Kenney  took down the coveted title for $1,459,900.
