Sagar Choudhury Outlasts 749 Entries To Win His First Big Slick On Adda52

Yesterday saw Adda52 hosting its 15 Lac GTD online tournament –  Big Slick. The INR 2,200 buy-in tournament turned out to be a grand success, attracting 749 entries and generating INR 15 Lac + prizepool. After several hours of the tough battles, it was Sagar Choudhury who emerged the winner, defeating Deepak Singh in heads-up to take home INR 2,66,981. Singh started heads-up play as the massive chip leader but the most hands went in favour of Sagar and he finally won his first Big Slick. Singh had to eventually settle for INR 1,95,696 for his runner-up finish in the event.

The tournament saw several solid regs in action and some of them who managed to finish deep were Adda52 Millions and Mega Suits winner Gaurav Sood (5th for INR 77,071), Godfather 7.0 winner Vishal Tulsyan (7th for INR 41,409), Punjab Bluffers Captain & PSL COO Abhishek Goindi (13th for 16,308), and past Adda52 Millions winner Chandan Arora who finished 16th for INR 11,954.

Top 80 finishers were paid out with a min-cash of INR 6,291. The largest share of the prizepool went to Sagar Choudhury who earned INR 2,66,981 and added one more win to his already impressive resume. Choudhury has been playing on Adda52 for several years now and his journey has been wonderful as the online grinder has already won over two dozen tournaments on the poker site. While he has scored plenty of wins, some of his notable online scores include his win in Sunday Suits, Judwaa, Roar, Godfather, CrackJack, Hitman, Whale, Blaze and Adda52 Millions. Apart from scoring several big wins, the player has also made to the numerous FT scores across various events.

Post his win, we caught-up with the eventual winner – Sagar Choudhury and he said, “The field was pretty aggro especially in the final two tables. I was the chip leader in the final 2 tables for sometime, but I entered the the FT as one of the short stacks. The FT was full of aggressive players, since I didn’t have much of a stack, it was pretty simple to shove or fold for me. I folded most of the hands throughout the FT since the chip leader was very aggressive and significant pay-jumps were there. My aim was to first be in the top 3 and then play aggressively. Luckily, the Chip leader busted most of the table. When we entered into HU, he had a 10:1 lead over me. Luckily for me, the hands held up in the HU play and I won the title.”
