The Wait Is Almost Over! The $10K WSOP Main Event Kicks Off Tomorrow At GGPoker

To the delight of WSOP fans out there, there will be a 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event champion! To accomplish this feat, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and GGPoker Network have partnered to host a hybrid online and live version of the $10K NLH World Championship, known better to poker players as the Main Event. The Main Event is set to be played both internationally as well as domestically. While the Main Event will run domestically for the US players on WSOP.com, international players will be able to compete in the prestigious WSOP tournament on GGPoker.

GGPoker will play host to international players over 3 starting flights – Day 1A, 1B & 1C. The first of the 3 flights in the $10K WSOP Main Event is right around the corner, with Day 1A starting at 6:00 p.m. GMT tomorrow, 29 November. Day 1B will will take place on December 5, while the third flight, Day 1C, will run on December 6. Each player can to play only one flight. All the survivors from these flights will return to Day 2 on December 7, which will play down to a final table of nine. The nine finalists will then play to a winner at King’s Casino in the Czech Republic on Tuesday, December 15.

Day 1A – Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020
Day1B – Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020
Day 1c — Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020
Day 2, Play down to 9 players, Monday, Dec. 7

Talking about the $10K Main Event to be played domestically, it will run on WSOP.com for players in either New Jersey or Nevada. A single Day 1 flight will take place on Sunday, December 13. Day 2 will take place on Monday, December 14 and play down to a final table of nine. The nine finalists will then play to a winner at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Monday, December 28.

Finally, the winner of the Domestic US Tournament and the winner of the International Tournament will meet at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas in a special Heads-Up Finale on Wednesday, December 30. The eventual champion of the Heads-Up Finale will take home a hefty $1,000,000, a bracelet (the only one to be awarded), and the coveted title of 2020 WSOP Main Event champion.

Both final tables of the upcoming $10K WSOP Main Event as well as the Heads-Up Finale for the same will be broadcast by ESPN with commentary from Lon McEachern and Norman Chad.

What To Expect On Day 1A Of The WSOP Main Event At GGPoker

The $10K WSOP Main Event kicks off at 6:00 p.m. GMT. The event costs $10K buy-in to enter, unless you bag yourself an affordable seat from one of the many satellites running around the clock.

Each player will receive 60,000-chips (300 BBs). The blinds start at 100/200, with antes starting during the second level. Each level will last for 30 minutes, making this a great blind structure. Late registration will be open until the end of the 11th level, but don’t enter it too late because it is a freezeout event, meaning if you play 1A and bust, your Main Event dreams are over for another year.
