Finally, it is over with Anant Purohit winning the DPT Xpress Main Event. The player outlasted a strong field of 205 entries. He entered heads-up with 2 million chips against 2.1 million of Kshitij Jain.

While the chip lead changed several times, Anant went on to extend his lead and finally took down his first-ever DPT title. The last hand of the tournament saw Kshitij Jain shove for his remaining 338k and Anant made the call. Anant had As 5d, while Jain held 6d 3d. The board ran Ac Kc Qd 9c 4d. Anant flopped an Ace pair, which was enough for him to take down the title. Anant took home an impressive INR 7,40,000, while Jain settled for a cool INR 5,15,000 for his runner-up finish.

On his way to the grand win, Anant eliminated several players, including 4 players from the FT itself and they included Mitang Soni, Prashob PJ, Amit Tejura and finally Kshitij Jain. We congratulate the winner, the runner-up and all ITM players today. That is for the day…. Good night!

On the run-out of 10s 10d 6d 7d 9, Venkata hit a flush to take down the pot and eliminate Radhika in 19th place (INR 37K). Radhika was one of the three females making it to Day 2 of the Main Event.

Welcome to Live Coverage of Day 2 of the DPT Xpress Main Event!

Welcome to Day 2 coverage of the 15K DPT Xpress Main Event coming to you all the way from the beautiful Deltin JAQK casino in sunny Goa.

Yesterday saw Day 1 conclude after fifteen 25-minute levels were played out, with 26 players out of the 205 entries progressing. All remaining players are in the money and they will be returning in a while from now to resume their battle for the Main Event title and the top prize of INR 7,40,000.

Kshitij Jain will start the day as the chip leader after he bagged 5,69,000 last night. Trailing him are Anish Juwarkar (3,64,000) and Masood Shaikh (3,00,000). Some familiar names in contention include Siddharth Karia (1,49,000), Anant Purohit (1,61,000) and Amit Tejura (1,19,000).

The cards will be in the air for Day 2 in a while at 3 PM. Like yesterday, each level for Day 2 will be of 25 minutes except for the final table where each level will be of 30 minutes. The play resumes at level 16 with blinds starting at 5K-10K with 10K big blind ante. Stay tuned in for the live updates!
