GPI Rankings: Ole Schemion completes 12 weeks on top

This week Ole Schemion (GPI#1, =) became the third player in GPI history to hit #1 on the GPI World Poker Rankings for the 12th straight week. Additionally, Jason Mercier (GPI#5, =) and Dan Smith (GPI#52, -3) have spent more consecutive weeks at the top than Schemion. Do you know only Schemion and Smith have been ruling in #1 in the World since July 2014, relatively for more than eight months.

Daniel Negreanu (GPI#6, +3) makes another move up the ranks, thanks to his latest score at the WPT L.A. Poker Classic. At #6, Daniel holds his highest rank since December 2014.

Back-to-back victories for three-time WPT Champion Anthony Zinno (GPI#13, +19) helps him to reach the Top 10 contention. Following a win at the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic and WPT title at the L.A. Poker Classic, Zinno recently made a huge jump inside the standings, moving to his all-time career-best 13th in the World.

WPT L.A. Poker Classic runner-up Mike Leah (GPI#20, +43) made a significant move to 20th position on the GPI World Poker Rankings. Being the former World #17, he made a trio of six-figure scores in the past six months, including his first bracelet win at WSOP Asia-Pacific in Melbourne. Furthermore, Phil Hellmuth (GPI#158, +207) who makes the jump to #158 this week following a score in the WSOP Circuit Main Event in Baltimore.
